Clear terms on advance payments, so both sides know what to expect before a project begins.
Last updated: July 27, 2026
This Refund Policy applies to all projects undertaken by ApexSwitch (“we”, “us”, “our”), including web and app development engagements. By paying an advance and proceeding with a project, you agree to the terms below.
Any advance or deposit amount collected before the start of a project is non-refundable, regardless of the payment agreement, contract structure, or project size. This applies once the advance has been paid, even if work is at an early stage.
Once a project begins, we commit time, planning, and resources on our end — scoping the work, setting up infrastructure, and often turning down other work to prioritize your project. The advance secures this commitment. If a project is paused, cancelled, or dropped after work has started — for any reason, including a change of plans on the client’s side — that time and effort has already been spent and cannot be recovered. The advance amount compensates for this.
If you decide to discontinue a project after work has begun — whether due to budget changes, shifting priorities, or a decision to no longer proceed with the app/website — the advance paid will not be returned. Any additional work completed beyond the advance will be billed separately as per the agreed terms.
This policy applies specifically to the advance/deposit amount. It does not affect any separately agreed milestone payments or final payments for completed work, which are governed by the project contract or invoice terms.
If you have questions about this policy before starting a project, please reach out beforehand — we’re happy to clarify terms so there are no surprises.
